GOLDEN HOUR is a collection of original contemporary mountain and landscape paintings inspired by the fleeting light of sunset and dusk.
Drawing on my travels through Cape Town and the Mediterranean, these original oil paintings explore the moments when mountains, coastlines and distant horizons are transformed by changing light.
From Table Mountain and Lion's Head in South Africa to Calpe Rock on Spain's Costa Blanca, the collection combines expressive colour, atmospheric skies and layered texture to create contemporary landscape art inspired by wild places.

Contemporary Landscape Art Inspired by Golden Hour
The GOLDEN HOUR collection grew from my fascination with the way landscapes change as daylight disappears. Mountains become silhouettes, skies intensify and familiar places can feel completely different for just a few minutes.
Many of these paintings are inspired by time spent in Cape Town, where Table Mountain and Lion's Head create dramatic silhouettes against the changing colours of the evening sky. Other works draw on the Mediterranean landscape of Spain's Costa Blanca, including Calpe Rock rising above the coastline.
Rather than recreating these landscapes literally, I use colour, texture and atmosphere to capture the feeling of experiencing them at sunset and dusk. Each available painting is an original, hand-painted oil on canvas and a one-of-a-kind artwork.
