Original oil painting on canvas

Unframed
Velvet Valley is an original abstract mountain painting defined by a rich, immersive palette of deep pink, magenta and soft violet tones. Snow-covered peaks emerge through the saturated landscape, their pale highlights creating contrast, depth and a sense of distance.
Inspired by the fleeting colours found in the mountains at dusk, the painting captures a dreamlike valley where colour and atmosphere take precedence over literal detail. Layers of oil paint create a soft, almost velvet-like quality across the landscape - giving the piece its name.
Rather than depicting a specific mountain view, Velvet Valley is about the feeling of being surrounded by mountains: the scale, stillness and sense of escape they create.
Bold in colour yet calming in composition, this contemporary mountain artwork is designed to bring warmth, atmosphere and the feeling of the mountains into your home.
A striking statement piece for modern and contemporary interiors, particularly against neutral walls where its rich colour palette can become the focal point of the room.
